It’s time to let go of my Stampin’ Up! demonstratorship. I expected more regret with this announcement than I actually feel.

With Larry’s health scare in October and the subsequent stent & endarectomy, the Holidays, my own dental emergency, and a general lack of forward momentum, I simply did not make my Q4 quotas and failed to meet the make-up requirements this month.

While I made some inroads, I simply did not establish the customer base to support the direct sales model.

I tend not to spend energy on regrets and what-ifs. I can look back at the experience and honestly say I learned much that will serve me well.

I truly believe that when one door closes, another opens. So, while there are no solid plans, I begin this new year with the optimism that by letting go I am making room for new opportunities.

The Timeless Stampin’ Blog will move at some point. Renamed and with a fresh face, I will continue to explore and share my creativity. For now, you can hang out with me here.

In the meantime – I will place one final order – and I will pass on the 20% discount.

Orders must be placed by Sunday, January 31, 2010 9:00 pm Eastern Time, must be for US delivery only, and must be paid by credit card or paypal at the time of order.

See Timeless Stampin’ for details, or email me at wilkinsla [at] gmail [dot] com.

How cool is that?

Did I mention I’m back in the working world? New job, new routine, new laptop! I’m back to commuting to DC – or nearly. It’s the last exit in Virginia, before crossing into Georgetown.

I’ve opted to take advantage of a commuter service, so pack in daily. I needed a light weight bag for the laptop and wanted something fun – this little ditty by Mango Tango is just perfect!

Revolution Money Exchange (RME) is a competitive service to that of Paypal. Like Paypal, it makes transferring funds from one member to the other an easy transaction. And, free to boot.

The free part is attractive as I consider doing some handcrafted item sales through Etsy. It is seller to buyer transactions that Paypal gets you for, and are free between RME users.

I did some sleuthing. RME acts as your agent and opens a non-interest bearing account at the FDIC insured First Bank & Trust in Brookings, South Dakota. A certain amount of trust and judgment are called for – as with any US bank account, personal information must be provided (SSN, birthdate, etc.).

There are fees to make withdrawals via check, but ACH transfers to another bank account are free. And there is a buzz about debit card availability in May.

I can find nothing to indicate that this is anything other than legitimate, that there are over 700 Etsy vendors accepting RME payments is encouraging.

So I signed up! And get this – a $25 sign-up bonus went into my account IMMEDIATELY! Better? Anyone I invite to sign up also gets a $25 bonus, and I earn a $10 referal fee – up to $500. (I believe the offer ends May 15th)

Wanna try it?! Click on the green SIGN UP banner to the far left for an automated invitation!
